Hi, I’m Brad - a PhD student, social worker and therapist. I am currently conducting PhD research and working clinically as a children’s therapist in the NHS. I am at the start of my research journey, and I want to track the experience in some way. That’s where this newsletter comes in.

What is Track Changes?

Once a month, I will publish a wrap-up of my experience in Track Changes. I’ll catalogue the successes I have had, the challenges I have faced and the lessons I have learned. The focus will be research, but I will draw from my experiences outside of this too, from the work I am doing as a therapist to the books I am reading. Getting into - and sticking it out in - research is hard, the barrier to entry can be really high and a lot of luck and perseverance is needed to find paid opportunities. I’m aiming to be very transparent in my journey, in the hope that it can give some guidance and advice to people who want to give research a go.
